LOLY'S KITCHEN:GIZZ DODO

Hi friends been a minute, today i have for you a food post whoops, i know its been a while i did one of these, anyhoo the recipe i have for you today is simple, delicious and easy to prepare. Its a simple mixture of vegetables, plantain and gizzard. to be honest i  wasn't even going to post this on the blog but i soon as i was done preparing it and used the picture as my display picture different people asked for the recipe so i decided to answer everyone at once. this is perfect on your white rice, jollof rice and even fried rice.



INGREDENTS

Gizzard
Plantain
carrot
spring onions(optional but i tell you it makes a difference so go for it)
green pepper
bell pepper (sombo), tomatoes and onions
curry
thyme
bouillon cubes ( i prefer knorr)
salt
groundnut oil

PROCEDURE

 STEP A

1. wash and dice green pepper
2. wash and slice spring onions. (wash this thoroughly so as not to get sand in your food)
3. wash, scrap and dice carrots
4. wash and dice onions



   

STEP B

 1. Rinse your bell pepper (sombo) ,tomatoes and onions
2. blend them together into a rough paste





STEP C

1. Wash gizzard
2. add your seasoning and let it boil for a few minutes ( curry, thyme, bouillon cubes, salt)
3. once its ready let it cool down 
4. dice the cooked gizzard and fry


  

STEP D

1. wash the back of the plantain, then peel it
2. dice you plantain
3.. add a little salt for taste, also sprinkle a little water on the diced plantain this will help when frying so they don't stick together
4. fry plantain golden brown






STEP E

Once all the things are set, now your are ready to combine them all
1. get a pot on the fire, once its hot add little groundnut oil, then add in some onions and fry till transparent
2. add your blended pepper paste
3. add season of your choice ( knorr cubes, salt to taste) and fry till the water in the pepper is dried up
4. add in your carrots to the pepper so that it can get soft.
5. once that is done, add your gizzard, the remaining veggies( spring onions,green pepper,onions) and stir
6. add your palntain to the mixture and stir
7. BON APETITE
